Tools

Tools require the matching scope, granted when you connected. Each maps to the same operations as the REST API.

Conversations

Tool	Description
list_conversations	List conversations, with filters (status, users, assignees, email domains) and cursor paging.
get_conversation	Full details of one conversation.
create_conversation	Start a conversation with a customer (customer_email, initial_message).
update_conversation	Set status, is_spam, or pinned.
list_conversation_filter_options	Values the list filters and sort accept (statuses, types, priority levels, issue types, assignees).
assign_conversation	Assign a team member (user_id).
unassign_conversation	Remove the assignee.

Messages

Tool	Description
list_messages	List messages in a conversation (most recent first).
create_message	Reply in a conversation (body_html).
update_message	Edit a message (message_id, body_html).
delete_message	Delete a message.

Notes

Tool	Description
list_notes	List internal notes on a conversation (team-only, oldest first).
create_note	Add an internal note to a conversation (body_html).

Customers

Tool	Description
list_customers	List all contacts in the organization.
get_customer	Full details of one contact (user_id).
create_customer	Create a contact (name, email).
update_customer	Block or unblock, star or unstar a contact. Name and email cannot be changed.

Segments

Tool	Description
list_segments	List saved customer filters.
get_segment	Get one segment (segment_id).
create_segment	Create a segment (name, filter).
update_segment	Change a segment's name, description, filter or type.
delete_segment	Permanently delete a segment. Customers in it are not affected.

Tasks

Task tools need the Tasks module enabled for your organization.

Tool	Description
list_tasks	List internal to-dos, optionally linked to a conversation.
get_task	Get one task (task_id).
create_task	Create a task (title).
update_task	Change a task's title, description, status or due date.
delete_task	Permanently delete a task.

Team members

Tool	Description
list_team_members	List team members.
get_team_member	Details of one member (member_id).
invite_team_member	Add an existing SupportWire user to the organization (name, email, role). Admin only.
update_team_member	Change a member's role or archived status.
remove_team_member	Remove a member.

Organization

Tool	Description
get_organization	Organization details + the authenticated user.
update_organization	Update the display_name.
get_organization_settings	Read settings (locale, feature flags).
update_organization_settings	Update allow_guest_submission, enable_ai_assistant, bot_configuration, locale.

UI widgets

In clients that support MCP UI, several tools render interactive HTML cards (ui://widget/…): conversations list, conversation detail, customers list, customer detail, and team members.
